Not into circuit parties? Mexico has rich cultural events and colorful ceremonies available free year-round. A walk on the world-famous Malecón is something everyone enjoys.

Our Pacific coast sunsets are picturesque and dazzling. The first 12 days of December is the Festival of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the beginning of the month, where masses of “Vallartenses” parade through the center of town in an elaborate display that shows off their religious devotion and vibrant Mexican culture.

Throughout the month of December, nationals attend a variety of posadas, Christmas parties, in which they share in the magic of the season while celebrating with their loved ones.

Puerto Vallarta has amazing art and culture scene including the best gay cabaret scene in Mexico! We have four cabaret venues producing shows 7 nights a week from November until May. Also, we have numerous great art galleries and artists exhibiting and living in town. Mix in festive Mexican culture and rich traditions for an amazing treat for everyone.

Where do most of the gay community live in Puerto Vallarta?

Originally the LGBTQ community settled in the Zona Romántica, the southern portion of Puerto Vallarta known as the gay zone. This is where all the nightlife and the gay beach is centered. The cobblestone streets and convenience to the gay scene made this the original attraction for gay tourists and residences. However recently as the romantic zone has developed and grown, many have chosen newer areas like Fluvial to live and purchase real estate.

Puerto Vallarta has a warm tropical climate with rain from June until October. The annual temperature ranges between 78 and 82 Fahrenheit degrees with around 300 days of sunshine annually. Perfect to escape the cold snows of North American winters and enjoy a warm sunny beach destination of Mexico.
