AMPI Vallarta will celebrate the Day of the Dead 2025 with a Catrina on the Malecón 🌺💀
AMPI Vallarta is once again joining one of Mexico’s most iconic traditions: the Puerto Vallarta Day of the Dead Festival. This 2025, the association is participating in the creation of its Catrina, which will represent AMPI Vallarta’s identity, adapting it, of course, to the beautiful tradition of the Day of the Dead.
This year, AMPI Vallarta was fortunate to secure the best location, in the iconic central palm tree with the letters “Puerto Vallarta” and the little horse, where thousands of visitors and locals will be able to admire this work that pays tribute to our roots and the cultural beauty of the destination.
The creation of the 2025 Catrina is being led by our Banderas Bay Realty associate, Luis Salazar, who describes his agency as small but full of enthusiasm. Luis and his team contributed their talent and dedication to the new design. Inspired by AMPI’s new logo and symbol, the Catrina features AMPI’s official colors and typography, achieving a modern, elegant, and representative image of the association.
The project was made possible thanks to true teamwork: the collaboration of one of its clients, a former theater costume designer, who donated his time and talent to give the skeleton a fresh and artistic look; a friend who provided his truck for the transport of the imposing 4-meter-tall figure; and the enthusiasm of its new real estate agents, Eduardo Tapia and Mauricio Lozano, who understood the importance of joining initiatives that strengthen the association’s identity and image.

The Catrina will be installed on Wednesday, October 22nd at 9 a.m., and the official start of the event, where all the Catrinas can be seen on the Malecón, will be on Friday, October 24th, when Puerto Vallarta will be filled with color, music, and tradition.
The importance of participating in our Mexican traditions
As an association representing the region’s real estate sector, AMPI Vallarta recognizes the value of participating in cultural and community activities that promote unity, local pride, and Mexican identity. Participating in these events not only strengthens its members’ sense of belonging but also connects their professional work with the cultural and social life of Puerto Vallarta, one of Mexico’s most vibrant destinations.
📍 Visit our Catrina starting October 24th on the Malecón, in front of the Puerto Vallarta letters and the Caballito.
