AMPI Membership Requirements

Puerto Vallarta Associates (Brokers)
    1. Send a Complete resume by email in a PDF or word document (ALSO IN A CD)
    2. Fill out application for membership (Solicitud de Ingreso).
    3. Complete the form of personal data (Hoja de datos personales). (ALSO IN THE CD)
    4. Written statement about the significance of belonging to AMPI.
    5. Four photos for the ID that can be color or black or white. (DIGITAL PIC IN THE CD)
    6. Copy of current pictured ID, passport.
    7. Copy of Current FM3 or FM2 immigration authorization to work in real estate.
    8. Copy of the RFC and the registration with Hacienda.
    9. Copy of the Acta Constitutiva.
    10. Copy or a rental factura in case you pay a rent for the local or your office.
    11. Copy of the document that accredits the individual as legal representative
      for the corporation.
    12. Two letters of recommendation by two active AMPI members.
    13. One year experience working in real estate under an AMPI Socio within the Puerto Vallarta or Banderas Bay area prior to the AMPI application date. In the case that the applicant represents a corporation, the applicant has to demonstrate that the municipal permit was issued a minimum of one year prior to their
      application to AMPI.
    14. Demonstrate that you are duly registered and established (copy of the municipal permit, water, electricity and phone receipts in your name).
    15. Diploma or a real estate course approved by AMPI – 100 hours min.
    16. Diploma of Spanish course.
    17. Letter of no criminal record from last place of residence.
    18. Two commercial references.
    19. One or two bank references.
    20. The logo of your company (PRINTED AND IN THE CD)
    21. Take the AMPI Test and Orientation
    22. Pay the national and local dues.
    23. Do not bring pre-existing problems to the AMPI board
    24. Agent’s affiliation to AMPI is Broker’s responsibility

    After:

    1. Attendance to at least 50% of the monthly meetings during the year.
    2. 25 hours of education yearly to remain a member.
    Puerto Vallarta Affiliates (Agents)
      1. You must be an agent working for an AMPI Associate (Broker).
      2. Fill out application for membership.(SOLICITUD DE INGRESO)
      3. Complete the form of personal data. (DATOS PERSONALES)
      4. Four photos for the ID that can be color or black and white.
      5. Copy of pictured ID, passport.
      6. Copy of current FM3 or FM2 immigration authorization to work.
      7. Reference letter from the Broker.
      8. Letter of no criminal record from last place of residence.
      9. Written statement about the significance of belonging to AMPI.
      10. Pay the national and local dues; please see “affiliates” section. (To Treasurer)
      11. Attendance to at least 50% of the monthly meetings during the year.
      12. Must be AMPI member prior to enrollment to the MLS

      After:

      1. 25 hours of AMPI Section Vallarta approved real estate education has to be completed yearly by the affiliate in order to remain a member of the AMPI Chapter..

      ***** In order for an Affiliate to become an Associate they must have be working for a minimum of one year as an registered and paid AMPI Affiliate for an AMPI Vallarta Associate before applying as an Associate themselves. At the same time each Affiliate when applying to become an Associate will have to fully complete all the requirements specified by AMPI-Section Vallarta to become an Associate.

      IMPORTANT NOTE: AMPI AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP IS NOT TRANSFERABLE FROM BROKER (COMPANY) TO BROKER (COMPANY). IF AN AFFILIATE DECIDES TO MOVE FROM ONE AMPI BROKER TO ANOTHER AMPI BROKER THEY WILL BE REQUIRED TO REAPPLY TO AMPI-SECTION VALLARTA UNDER THE NEW BROKER AND PAY THE CORRESPONDING LOCAL AND NATIONAL AMPI DUES AGAIN.
