The Puerto Vallarta AMPI, Riviera Nayarit AMPI, and the Compostela AMPI Chapters have all committed to work together in an ongoing program of education as well as continual improvement of individual Real Estate Agents, Brokerages, and the AMPI organization as a whole, all with the goal of providing excellent service to our clients and to guarantee that Puerto Vallarta remains a strong, vibrant real estate market and a safe place to invest.
Puerto Vallarta AMPI and the other chapters in the Banderas Bay are part of the larger national AMPI organization. AMPI stands for Asociacion Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios, which translates to The Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals. AMPI is the national professional realtors association in Mexico and is a sister organization to (and works closely with) the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in the United States. Since 1956, AMPI has provided a strict code of ethics for realtors in Mexico, set standards of conduct, and has always strived to bring higher and higher levels of professionalism to the Mexican Real Estate industry.
A.M.P.I. (Asociacion Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios) is the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals that since 1956 groups under its Code of Ethics and Statutes the professionals dedicated to real estate activities.
It is constituted in Mexico by sections and these are integrated by Associates and Affiliates who represent more than 3000 members dedicated to this activity, every section is autonomous and has its own Board of Directors. There is also a National AMPI Directors Council formed by twenty associates from all over the country.
AMPI works together with the Federal, State, and Municipal authorities, proposing new laws and amendments to existing laws and regulations, directly related to the Real Estate activity.
